This large Riker display box (8" x 12") contains a selection of specimens from the world-famous Canyon Diablo crater in Arizona.

Each kit includes :

1) a large Canyon Diablo iron meteorite of high quality - stable with a nice patina. This piece has a nice shape and weighs 60 grams.

2) a large sandstone rim rock - this is a piece of ejecta gathered from the rim of the crater.

3) a sample of pulverized sand - this powdery-fine quartz/sandstone is from the floor of the crater.

4) a vial of iron spheroids from the Harvey Nininger collection. (remnants of the vaporized impactor, comes with Nininger label)

5) museum-quality metal data display label.

6) a full color photo card of the crater and surrounding countryside.

7) a data sheet with statistics and information about the impact event. (not shown)

All of this is presented in a 8" x 12" Riker box with dessicant inside to absorb moisture.

This kit makes a fine outreach prop and it also looks great on display in the home, office or observatory.  I have sold many of these kits in the past, but this particular kit comes from my personal collection.  The specimens inside are larger and of higher quality than previous kits.
