This is a large bulk lot of unclassified stony meteorites from the Saharan Desert of Northwest Africa (NWA).
These stones have experienced some weathering, but they are solid and exhibit attraction to a magnet. Some are obviously ordinary chondrites, but there are some which exhibit very little magnetic attraction and have the characteristic coloration and density of enstatite chondrites. So there is a good chance that some oddball EL types are present in this lot. Regardless of type, this is a good opportunity to purchase a large quantity of meteorites at a bargain price. This lot would be perfect for giveaways or kids. This lot would also be good for cutting, because sometimes these weathered meteorites contain pleasant surprises on the inside - like chondrules, metal fleck, or clasts. These would also be good to polish in a rock tumbler.
Refer to the photo. You get the actual lot shown - 1000 grams of mixed meteorites. (about 2 pounds). The shiny disc in the photo is a quarter shown for size scale.
At this price, you are paying about .08 cents a gram - that can't be beat!
