These ammonite fossils date from the Lower Jurassic to Upper Cretaceous periods.   These ammonites have been expertly cut in half, polished, and sealed with a clear lacquer.  They are perfect for display, collecting, or jewelry making.  (For example, these could be used with a setting as a pendant.)

Ammonites are similar in appearance to well-known Nautilus, but it is actually much more ancient.(over 65 million years old).  These fossils have been mineralized on their interior, where there are beautiful deposits of calcite, hematite, and other crystals. 
 
Refer to the photo.  These ammonites are almost 1.25 inch in diameter (approx. 32mm).  The black centimeter cube is shown for size comparison, and is not included.

For one price you get BOTH ammonites shown in the photo - both halves fit together.  Keep one and give one away to a friend or family member.
