The Hyattville meteorite was found on a grassy hillside in Wyoming in April 2008. Analysis revealed it to be a L6 chondrite that is relatively fresh at W1 and moderately shocked at S3. This is one of the few Wyoming meteorites available to collectors of US localities. Most of this meteorite resides in collections and very little is currently available to collectors. It has an attractive mottled matrix with fresh metal flecks and chondrules.
