Imilac is considered one of the world's finest and most stable pallasites, it's beauty is rivalled only by Esquel. But, some small Imilac pieces weather away while laying in the desert. The metal matrix starts to oxidize and the olivines turn dark and opaque. Eventually the olivines fall out of the crumbling matrix, leaving behind these oddly shaped metal skeletons. These skeletons are an inexpensive way to add this classic pallasite to your collection. This offer is for one (1) skeleton chosen from the lot shown in the photo.
Imilac is a main group pallasite found in the Atacama Desert of Chile in 1822. Pieces of Imilac are still found today.
