Meteorites of the United States Map - Large Canvas, Suitable for Framing

The popular NWA Meteorite Map now has an American companion piece. Brad Nault has drawn another masterful artwork map and this one depicts over 100 meteorites and craters in the United States of America. The North American continent in shown is shown in a old-world style cartography with different symbols for meteorite falls, meteorite finds, hammer falls, and impact craters. Over 100 historical, popular, and obscure meteorite locations are mapped out in a large-format, hand-drawn artwork. All of the many famous meteorites you would expect to see are highlighted on this map, plus more obscure finds that will challenge you to consult reference works to learn more about them.

Shown on the United States of America (plus parts of Canada and Mexico) map are : over 51 witnessed meteorite falls, 19 hammer falls, 50 meteorite finds. 4 impact craters, and 2 Martian finds.

These maps are professionally printed on a high-dynamic range, large-format printer using giclee print on canvas. Size is approx. 36 x 16 and is suitable for framing.

This map was designed to be a piece of display art and an aesthetic way to associate various meteorites with places. It would be ideal for framing and display in your home or near your meteorite collection. It would also make a fine outreach prop when talking about meteorites or meteorite hunting.

These pieces are professionally produced, so there will be a 1-2 business day lead time on printing and preparation. Every canvas is rolled and shipped in a sturdy tube.

Refer to the photo. The image shown is a lower-resolution version for web display. Your canvas will have rich deep colors and a quality texture that cannot be shown on a computer screen.
