Moldavite is a beautiful green translucent glass that originates from the Ries Crater area of Germany. Moldavite was created when a giant meteorite slammed into the Earth and the catastrophic impact fused local minerals (and some of the meteorite) into a green, gemmy material. Over the centuries, Moldavite has been prized for it's beauty in jewelry making. The highest quality Moldavite is cut into faceted gemstones. This Moldavite is high quality, but not gem grade. It comes in irregular-shaped pieces that have a deep green color and nice translucency.
This offer is for ONE piece of Moldavite. Your piece will be selected from the lot shown in the photos. All of these pieces average at least several carats in weight. The black centimeter scale cube is shown for scale and is not included. Your piece of Moldavite will come in a labelled gemjar for safe storage.
