NWA 100 was recovered from the remote Saharan Desert of Morocco in September 2000. It was analyzed by Dr. Alan Rubin at UCLA and classified as a L6 chondrite that is heavily shocked and lightly weathered at S4 and W1. It has a pale matrix that shows metal flecks and occasional chondrules. This early NWA is not commonly seen on the market in sizeable pieces like this.
