Paasselka Lake, Finland Crater, Impact Breccia, Obelisk, 230g

Approx. 230 million years ago, a massive asteroid impact slammed into what is now Finland. The catastrophic impact carved out a crater approx. 10 kilometers in diameter. The eroded remnant of the crater is now filled with Lake Paasselka and samples of impact-related rocks can be found in the area around the lake.

The specimen being offered here is a professionally prepared block of impact breccia with four cut sides that are polished and two natural sides. It displays well in several positions and stands as an obelisk. It weighs 230 grams.

Refer to the photos. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You are purchasing the specimen shown. Your purchase will include an ID label.
