Tatahouine is a diogenite meteorite that originates from asteroid Vesta.
Tatahouine is a unique meteorite with an emerald-green matrix. The green matrix is loaded with angular black clasts. It's also somewhat glassy and quite different from any other meteorite. This unusual meteorite was a witnessed fall that exploded into thousands of tiny fragments over the Tunisian desert, near Tatawin in 1931. This is one of the only meteorites that is only found in small fragments. Large fragments are very rare and very expensive. I have a limited supply of small Tatahouine fragments available.
This offer is for one small fragment selected from the same lot shown in the photo. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. Your purchase includes a labelled gemjar.
