What gift do you get for the person who has everything?

This new collector kit has some of the world's most exotic and rare specimens, all gathered into one master collection.   Galactic Stone & Ironworks presents this exclusive collection and nowhere on Earth will you find a gift kit like this one.  Every one of these kits is custom made to order with specimens from my personal collection and the best examples available on the market.

Contained in this kit are : meteorites (including a Martian "mars rock" sample!), moldavite, trinitite, amber, fossils, prehistoric artifacts, semi-precious stones, and more.  This collection is an ideal gift for anyone who is interested in nature, the cosmos, the unusual and the exotic.  Due to the nature of these rare materials, this kit is not recommended for small children who may lose or damage the valuable contents.

Each kit contains a premium example of the following items :

1) Murchison meteorite display - one of the most scientifically-valuable meteorites in existence.  This meteorite contains microscopic nano-diamonds created by the supernova of a dying star, and traces of amino acids that are key ingredients in living organisms.  The meteorite sample is contained in a handsome black pebble-grain Riker box display case with glass viewing window.

2) Trinitite display - a genuine sample of the atom bomb glass created by the world's first nuclear test at the Trinity site in 1945.  This piece of emerald-green glass was born in the historic explosion that shattered the atom, heralded the beginning the atomic age, and the start of nuclear arms race.  This is one of the rarest and most unique materials on Earth and very few collectors have any.  This sample is also contained in a handsome Riker box display.

3) Asteroid Vesta display - this is a sample of regolith "top soil" from one of the largest and most famous asteroids in the Solar System, 4 Vesta.  Asteroid Vesta is visible to the naked eye from the Earth and scientists consider it a "failed planet" which was nearly destroyed by a massive collision with another asteroid early in the history of the Solar System.  This sample is a vial of fragments and dust from an exotic type of meteorite called "eucrite".  Eucrite (along with howardite) is considered to be the top soil of Vesta, which is the product of magma within Vesta being released to the surface during violent collisions with other asteroids.   This sample also comes in a Riker box display case.

4) Mars Rock Display - one of the rarest materials on Earth is a piece of the planet Mars.  This is a genuine sample of the Martian meteorite "Tissint".   More rare than diamonds or platinum, a Martian meteorite is the only way to hold a piece of Mars in your hand.  Tissint (Tata) is the freshest of all Martian meteorites, having just fell in July of 2011.  I have presented a small fragment of this witnessed fall Mars Meteorite in a Riker box display that is sure to be a conversation piece.

5) Black Carbonado Impact Diamond - the most unusual and rare form of diamond.  Carbonado diamonds are found in only two places in the world and both locations are connected to a catastrophic meteorite impact in Earth's distant past, billions of years ago.  These strange grey lattice-work diamonds are the result of powerful forces generated when a massive asteroid slammed into the Earth.  This kit includes a sample of Carbonado diamonds (over one dozen fragments) in a labeled acrylic storage and display container.  Your Carbonado sample also includes a copy of the scientific paper that supports the celestial origin and details the odd physical properties of these strange diamonds.

6) Moldavite - the most beautiful "star gem" that has a gorgeous emerald-green color and has been prized since antiquity for it's unusual properties and stunning brilliancy.  Moldavite is a gem-like tektite that hails from deposits in the Czech Republic and is the result of an ancient meteorite impact in the Ries region of neighboring Germany.  New Age practitioners believe that Moldavite contains powerful cosmic energies.  The moldavite sample included in this kit is not a tiny fragment, it is a professionally faceted gemstone that is suitable for setting in jewelry.  This Moldavite gem weighs several carats and comes with an acrylic storage case for safe keeping. (may differ in appearance from the one shown)

7) Amber - fossilized tree sap from millions of years ago slowly ages into a gorgeous gemmy material that has been prized since ancient times.  The world's finest amber comes from the famous Kaliningrad mines in Russia.  An insect trapped in amber was the source of the dinosaur DNA in the movie Jurassic Park.  The amber specimen included in this kit comes from my personal collection, and is a stunning example of the best quality amber on the market.  This is not a small piece, it is a large substantial specimen worth at least $100.

8) Neolithic Arrowhead - many thousands of years ago, the now-barren Saharan desert was a lush grassland filled with wildlife and ancient tribes of hunter-gatherers.  These tribes hunted with a combination of spears and arrows.  They fashioned arrowheads out of native rocks like flint.  Today, these arrowheads are found near oases in the Saharan desert region of Mauritania in Northwest Africa.  Included in this kit is a prime example of Neolithic craftsmanship - a flint arrowhead that is at least 8,000 to 10,000 years old.  The flow of artifacts from the Sahara has declined over the years and now these arrowheads are quite rare and very collectible.  The arrowhead in this kit comes with a Riker box display and information label.

9) Polished Fossil Ammonite - millions of years ago, a tiny and strange creature called the ammonite populated the seas and oceans of the world.  Today, their fossilized remains can be found in desposits located in certain areas of the globe.  What makes these fossils interesting is that over the centuries, the shell of these creatures becomes filled with beautiful crystal deposits and the outer shell takes on an iridescence that is often confused with opal and rivals the beauty of most gemstones.

10) Cretaceous Shark Tooth - this fossilized shark tooth is hundreds of millions years old and comes from the age of the dinosaurs.  This is a prime example of a fossil tooth that is in pristine condition.  Back then, sharks were not the small and relatively-harmless creatures they are now - they were voracious predators of great size and ferocity.  Today, these fossils are found in deposits near the sites of ancient sea beds.  This tooth was recovered from a Cretaceous period deposit located in Canada.  It also comes with an acrylic display and storage case with data label.

11) Fulgurite Lightning Glass
- when a lightning bolt strikes the Earth under the right conditions, the brutal electrical charge fuses the sand or dirt into a strange and wonderful material called fulgurite.  It is often called "nature's glass-making process" and there is nothing else on Earth like it.  It is valued by mineral collectors and New Age practitioners believe that fulgurite contains powerful natural energies.  The fulgurite in this kit comes from the famous Red Rock vortex area near Sedona Arizona - it is one of the rarest and most desired of lightning glass.  Also, the example in this collection is not a small piece, it is a large specimen from my personal stash.

12) Lapis Lazuli Cabochons - Lapis is a stunning semi-precious stone that has a unique blue color and has been prized throughout the ages in jewelery making.  The finest quality Lapis Lazuli comes from deposits in the mountains of Afghanistan, and that is where I got my supply.  This Lapis material has been professionally polished and cut into free-form cabochon shapes that are ready for jewelry setting.  You will get 5 (five) hand-picked pieces that are chosen for their size and color.  The most desirable color is a deep midnight blue that is almost purple and I will hand select these pieces for the best color, size, and shape.  These also come in a labeled acrylic storage case for safe keeping and display.

13) Golden Sapphire - this gemstone needs little introduction and it is treasured for it's beauty and fire.  I managed to acquire a small lot of yellow sapphires that have been professionally cut, faceted, and polished.  These sapphires are high quality with brilliance, fire, and a beautiful deep golden color.  This collection includes 1 (one) yellow sapphire gemstone that weighs at least one-quarter (.25) carat.  Your gemstone is ready for setting in a ring, pendant, or earring.  It comes in an acrylic storage and display case for safe keeping.

Finally, your collection will come with an itemized invoice that valuates each piece for insurance purposes.  I guarantee you will not find an exotic collection like this being offered anywhere.  Due to the nature of these artifacts and specimens, some are unique in appearance and their look might vary slightly from that shown in the photos.

Refer to the photos.  The photo is a collage of the pieces that shows you what to expect.  The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included.  Hurry - my supply of these rare materials is limited.

The purchase price of this kit includes a free shipping upgrade to insured and registered mail with tracking number.
