Every meteorite in this category has undergone the Pat Mulvany stabilization process. Many iron meteorites will begin to rust or corrode, and once the process begins, it is difficult to stop completely. Most meteorite owners will remove the visible rust with a wire-brush, spray the specimen with a "rust preventative" like WD-40, and then bake the specimen in an oven. This will remove some of the superficial rust, and it will work for a very short period of time - but the specimen will always rust again and need further treatments. Pat's meteorites are GUARANTEED NOT TO RUST! If your specimen begins to rust, Pat will stabilize it for FREE.
