Falls : Hammer

Hammer meteorites are meteorites that have struck a man-made object (building, vehicle, etc), or multiple meteorites from a shower that struck man-made objects. Meteorites that have stuck living things such as people or animals are often called hammers.

Note : the so-called "hammer stone" is the single meteorite that struck a man-made object, building, or living thing. A hammer stone may be a singular meteorite like the Claxton stone, or might be part of a larger meteorite shower like Park Forest. In a meteorite shower, there may be more than one "hammer stone" because multiple buildings or targets may be struck by falling stones. In a hammer shower, there may also be meteorites that did not strike anything.
