This is a Cretaceous-period Baculite fossil that was gathered at an unknown North American locality.  It measures approx. 6 inches by 2 inches.  It is heavy and very hard, and there is some color play (iridescent) on parts of it.  When you hold it near a light and rotate it, you can really see the iridescent colors.  It is difficult to capture in a photo, but you can see some hints of it. These teeth come from Morocco in Northwest Africa.  They were found while digging a phosphate mine in the Atlas Mountains, which uncovered an Eocene era deposit of fossils.  Their age is approximately 50 million years old.  The majority of these teeth are from the Otodus Family of sharks, which includes the Sand Tiger shark - the Great Grandfather of the Megalodon!
